STEPHAN THOMPSON

Smart leadership for Stronger Communities

Stephan Thompson was born on August 23, 1972, to Hiram and Carolyn Thompson, and proudly raised in Thomasville, Georgia. From an early age, he was taught to walk in faith, work hard, and treat everyone with respect—principles that continue to guide his life today.

A proud graduate of Thomasville High School and the “Unsinkable” Albany State University where he earned his B.S. in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Public Service. Earning a degree in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Public Service wasn’t just about a personal goal—it was about preparing to better serve the community. This education has strengthened his ability to lead with purpose, solve complex challenges, and build effective, people-first solutions that work for everyone. Through his studies, he gained the tools to bring people together, manage resources responsibly, and create systems that uplift rather than overlook. He understands how to lead organizations that put community needs at the center of every decision.

Today, Stephan remains deeply rooted in Thomasville as a husband to Devona and proud father of three daughters, Logan, Lyric, and Haidyn. His dedication to service runs deep. He is a Deacon at First Missionary Baptist Church, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, and serves on numerous boards and service organizations including the Rotary Club, The Thomasville-Thomas County Sports Academy, and the Literacy by 3rd Grade Committee of the Workforce Plan.

Stephan’s commitment to public service is more than a career path, it’s a calling. Smart leadership means having both the heart to serve and the training to lead—and he is proud to bring both to the table.

Stephan believes in Smart Leadership. Better Decisions. Stronger Communities.
